Cookie policy

A cookie is a text file containing data that is sent from a website and stored on the user’s computer, tablet or cell phone by the user’s web browser while the user is surfing the internet. What kind of cookies exist?

  • First party cookies are placed by the website the user is surfing on and makes sure the website functions properly and stores your preferences.
  • Third party cookies are placed by a third party with another domain name onto the website and are used to improve and personalize the user experience.

These first and third party cookies can also be divided into other categories such as:

  • Essential cookies are necessary for the website to function properly.
  • Preference cookies store information about choices and preferences on a website.
  • Statistics cookies gather information on the behaviour of web visitors and on the website performance. This information is used to improve the website and the user experience.
  • Marketing cookies track the behaviour of web visitors, based on this information a user profile is composed that is used to personalize the user experience.

Cookies can also be categorized in permanent cookies and temporary cookies (session cookies). The permanent cookies are stored on your computer as a file for a longer period e.g. passwords or language setting. Temporary cookies are stored temporarily on your computer and are deleted when u end your website visit.


What kind of cookies do we use and why do we use them?

The Anticimex website is made with the EPIServer content management system and uses these cookies:

  • First party cookies: when u login to our Digimex client portal, these cookies are being used to store your login information if u wish so. The first party cookies are also used to store your resolution- or language setting. These cookies are stored for a maximum of 30 days, unless u delete them.
  • Essential, preference, statistics and marketing cookies: we use these cookies so our website would function properly. Furthermore, Anticimex collects web traffic data so that we can analyse user behaviour and interaction. This way, we can offer our web visitors a better user experience. These cookies are stored for a period of minimum 30 days up to 26 months, unless u delete them.


What happens if u do not accept the cookies on our Anticimex website?

 If u choose to not accept our cookies, u can’t use our ‘logged pages’ and some parts of the Anticimex won’t function properly.


How can u control, change or delete our cookies?

Internet Explorer:

  • Open the Settings menu on the top right hand side of your screen > Internet options > Privacy.

Here u can alter your settings from low (accept all cookies) to high (block all cookies).

Also, u can add exceptions to the general rule for certain websites via ‘Websites’ or set your own level of cookie blocking via ‘Advanced’ options.

U can delete your cookies via the tab ‘General’ > Browsing history > Delete…


  • Open the Settings menu on the top right hand side of your screen > Options > Privacy & Settings. Here a user can choose to save or not save their passwords (forms & passwords), add exceptions to the general rule via ‘exceptions’ below every topic or manage their cookies via ‘Cookies and Site data’ > Manage data…

U can delete the cookies via ‘history’ > Clear history… or via ‘Cookies and Site data’ > clear /manage date…

Google Chrome

  • Open the settings menu on the top right hand side of your screen > Settings > open ‘Advanced’. Below the topic ‘Privacy and security’ u can manage your cookie settings. U can alter passwords and language settings below the topic ‘passwords and forms’ and ‘languages’

U can delete cookies via Settings > more tools > clear browsing data or via settings > Advanced > privacy and security > clear browsing data.


  • Click Safari in the upper left hand side of your screen > Preferences… > open the ‘Privacy’ tab. Here u can manage the cookie settings.

    To delete the cookies, click ‘remove all website data…’ and remove now.
