Anticimex Group today announces that it has acquired the remaining 80 percent of the shares in WiseCon A/S, a Danish company which offers advanced electronic rattraps and monitoring systems. The acquisition highlights Anticimex’s commitment to digital pest control solutions.

In January 2015, Anticimex acquired 20 percent of the shares in WiseCon. The acquisition was an important step in the strategy to grow in digital pest control services and has proved to be a success.

Anticimex has over the past two years launched the Anticimex SMART concept, which is based on WiseCon´s technology, and has installed more than 20,000 SMART rodent devices across the world. More than 20 percent of Anticimex new sales consist of SMART digital traps and the concept is currently being developed  for other kinds of pest control.

Jarl Dahlfors, CEO and President of Anticimex Group, commented:

“Our vision is to be the global leader in preventive pest control. By acquiring WiseCon, we strengthen our leading position within digital pest control. We will combine the SMART competencies of Anticimex and WiseCon and establish an Innovation Center with responsibility for developing digital solutions for the Anticimex Group. This will enable us to offer the best solutions in digital rodent and fly control and monitoring and to develop other unique digital offers in a wide range of pest control applications for our global markets”.

Digital pest control is used in a variety of commercial premises, sewage systems, and private residences and enables vital pest information to be collected remotely and managed around the clock via a central database. Problems can also be detected more quickly and corrective actions can be targeted very precisely with minimal or no use of pesticides.

Preben Fritzbøger, CEO and President of WiseCon, commented:

“Anticimex is the modern Pest Control company, with operations in 17 countries in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia and they have shown growth every year since the company was founded 83 years ago Therefore we think that Anticimex is the ideal partner for us going forward.By being fully owned by Anticimex, we open up for fast growth globally and further resources to develop our products and concepts for new customer groups and markets.
