Annual report 2019
Report
2019 marked another year of strong acquisitive growth driven by 37 acquisitions, compared to 47 in the previous year. In the U.S., acquisitions of JP McHale, Waynes Pest Control and Brandon Pest Control greatly cemented our position in that market. In Europe the acquisition of PSQ continues to consolidate Anticimex's position in Portugal. Organic growth was fuelled by further growth in digital pest control solutions and the installed base of SMART devices reached approximately 132,000 units, representing a compound annual growth rate of 50 percent since 2015.
Strong financials
- 2019 was another record year, as revenue rose to nearly SEK 8.0 bn.
The robust long term growth rate accelerated further in 2019 due
to succesful completion of acquisitions in virtually all of Anticimex’s
markets, coupled with continued strong growth of SMART supporting overall organic growth. - Organic revenue growth amounted to 4 percent, while overall
growth, spurred by high execution on M&A, reached 23 percent. - 2019 operational EBITA increased by 35 percent through continued
direct efficiency improvements, acquisitions and synergy gains. - The improvement in operational EBITA was supported by increased
margins in 18 out of the 20 platforms where Anticimex operated
in 2018, indicating that the operating model employed helps drive
efficiency improvements.
