Our Science-Based Climate Targets

In September 2023, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) officially verified the Anticimex Group’s climate targets. This alignment ensures our carbon reduction goals are grounded in the latest climate science, actively contributing to limiting global temperature rise in line with the Paris Agreement.

To drive our decarbonization efforts forward, we have committed to the following near-term reduction targets by 2030 (using 2021 as our baseline year):

Key Climate Metrics

To drive our decarbonization efforts forward, we have committed to the following near-term reduction targets by 2030 (using 2021 as our baseline year):The following charts illustrate our commitment to decarbonization through measurable progress against our Science Based Targets for 2030. We are actively tracking our absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions, alongside our Scope 3 intensity metrics, to ensure our operations align with the 1.5°C pathway. These figures reflect our strategic focus on fleet efficiency and smarter resource management as we work toward our validated reduction goals.

The data in the graphs below shows that Anticimex is currently surpassing its established emission-reduction trajectory across all scopes. By 2025, absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions have decreased by 23% from the 2021 baseline, while Scope 3 intensity has seen a significant 31% reduction per SEK value added. These results underscore our commitment to an accelerated decarbonization path, keeping us well ahead of the interim targets required to achieve our validated 2030 goals.

Anticimex is currently outperforming its linear decarbonization path, having already achieved 55% of its 2030 Scope 1 and 2 target and 60% of its 2030 Scope 3 target. This accelerated progress is maintained through Advanced SBTi Re-baselining, a rigorous methodology that ensures reported emissions remain consistent and comparable by accounting for historical acquired businesses. By proactively integrating these acquired emissions into the baseline rather than recalculating current years, the company maintains full transparency and integrity in its journey toward the 2030 goals.
